About The White Hart Inn

A Traditional Isle of Wight Pub with a New Chapter Ahead

Set in the village of Havenstreet, The White Hart Inn is one of the Isle of Wight’s oldest pubs, with a history stretching back more than 250 years. Now under new management, we are proud to be building on that heritage, bringing fresh ideas and new energy while preserving the warmth, charm and character that have made The White Hart part of village life for generations.

At the Heart of Havenstreet

For generations, The White Hart has been a place for locals to meet, families to gather and visitors to enjoy traditional Island hospitality.

That sense of community remains incredibly important to us. We want The White Hart to feel like a proper local pub, somewhere to stop for a drink, enjoy a relaxed meal or spend an afternoon catching up with friends.

As the pub enters its next chapter, our focus is on retaining everything people know and love while continuing to improve the experience for everyone who visits.

Over 250 Years of History

The White Hart has been part of Havenstreet for more than two and a half centuries, making it one of the Isle of Wight’s oldest pubs.

Today, we are proud to continue that story. Under new management, we are investing in the pub, developing our food and drink offering, improving our outdoor spaces and introducing new ideas for the future, without losing sight of the character that makes The White Hart special.

Good Food & Genuine Hospitality

Food is a big part of life at The White Hart. Our kitchen serves freshly prepared, home-cooked dishes, seasonal specials and familiar pub favourites.

Wherever possible, we use quality local produce and ingredients, supporting Island suppliers and making the most of what is available throughout the seasons.

Alongside our food, you’ll find a carefully selected range of ales, wines, spirits and other drinks, served by a friendly team who want you to feel at home.
